Religious Studies

Religious Studies is all about how we think, what motivates us, and what is important in life. In year 7 you will be encouraged to think about big questions like ‘Is there a God?’, ‘Where do we find guidance in life?’ and ‘What does it mean to be fair?’. Through this you will develop skills of thinking for yourself. You will learn to consider different views on what is important in life and compare them to your own. We study how the main world religions started and the teachings of their founders. We will look at the life of the Buddha in depth and learn how to ask and explore big, philosophical, questions.
