History

Welcome to History at Highams Park!

As soon as you arrive at Highams Park you become the Historian. You will question and make judgements about why the world is like it is today. You will investigate different historians’ ideas, and you will decide whether you agree with them or not. We will look at History from Britain and around the world, involving all cultures.

In Year 7 you will have 2 lessons of History a week. Topics include……

How should the Vikings be remembered, why did William win the Battle of Hastings, why were the Crusades significant, how did the medieval monarchy change over time and the issues that affected the Tudor dynasty. We look forward to seeing you next year.
