Exam Resits
Students wishing to resit GCSE or GCE examinations in Summer 2027 must submit their request by midday on Friday 29th January 2027.
Resitting an examination can provide an opportunity to improve a previous grade; however, students should carefully consider the commitment required, including independent study and preparation.
Important Information
- The deadline for submitting a resit request is midday on Friday 29th January 2027.
- Entries received after this deadline may not be accepted.
- Examination dates are set nationally by the awarding bodies and cannot be amended.
- Students are responsible for ensuring they are available for all scheduled examinations, including any contingency examination days.
- Examination fees will apply. Details of fees will be provided upon receipt of the completed application form.
- No examination entries will be made until full payment has been received.
- Students should seek advice from their subject teacher or Head of Sixth Form before submitting a resit request.
- The Summer 2027 Resit Application Form must be completed and signed by both the student and their subject teacher before being submitted to Mrs H. A. Morris, Examinations Office.
- Payment can be made by cash, cheque (payable to Highams Park Academy Trust), or via the Arbor Parent Portal.
How to Apply
To request a resit, please complete the Summer 2027 Resit Application Form and return it to the Examinations Office by midday on Friday 29th January 2027.
Please Note
Examination entries cannot be guaranteed after the published deadline. Students are therefore strongly encouraged to submit their application and payment as early as possible.
