Welcome to Maths at Highams Park!

This year you will have 3 Maths lessons a week and you will most likely have the same teacher for all 3 lessons.

Maths is a really important subject; it is needed in so many other subjects that you will study, such as Science, Geography, Design and Technology and so many more. And there are so many patterns and connections that we can make sense of using Mathematics. It helps us to understand the world we live on and the universe around us!

Year 7 Maths topics include….

Working with numbers, learning the language of algebra, using data to make sense of the real world, spotting patterns and sequences, calculating probabilities of events, studying angles in shapes and lines and transforming shapes.
