School Rules and Rewards
School Expectations
Good behaviour in lessons and around the school is fundamental to success. Whilst it is impossible to sum up expectations in a few words, the school wraps up its expectations in “Success through our Endeavours” and through our key behaviours of Respect, Responsibility & Resilience.
We also have clear ‘non-negotiables’ which we insist upon in every classroom in our school. They are designed to ensure students understand the high expectations that we have for them in every single lesson:
- Absolute focus on learning.
- Follow staff instructions first time and without question.
- Be fully equipped and prepared to learn.
- Respect other people, their property and our school.
School Rules Summary
The full version of our school rules is available to students and parents on Firefly. The summary below is intended to provide a summary of key points for reference, but if in doubt, please refer to the full version.

They must be kept inside pockets or bags and are brought in entirely at the risk of students. Phones are confiscated without warning and are collected by students after 3:30pm in the P block.
Jewellery & Valuables
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils, we ask that jewellery worn in school is kept to a minimum. Pupils may wear:

- One small nose stud
No other types of earrings or piercings are permitted. Necklaces may be worn, but they must not be visible to staff.
Any jewellery that does not meet these guidelines will be confiscated and returned to pupils at the end of the school day, following a 15-minute detention. Persistent refusal to follow these expectations will result in further sanctions in line with the school’s Behaviour Policy.
We also ask that valuables are not brought into school. The school cannot accept responsibility for personal possessions such as money, watches, jewellery, or mobile phones. The school is not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items, including those that have been confiscated.
