Year 12 Triumph at Regional Bar Mock Law Trial Final

Highams Park School’s Year 12 Bar Mock Trial team achieved an outstanding victory on Saturday 22nd November 2025, winning the regional final of the prestigious Bar Mock Law Trial competition. Competing against 15 other schools, the team demonstrated exceptional skill, confidence and professionalism throughout the day, earning well-deserved praise from real judges.

The competition took place at the Inner London Court, where students participated in three challenging trials, taking on the roles of barristers, witnesses, clerks and court staff. Their performances were commended for clarity of argument, courtroom presence and detailed understanding of legal procedures. Judges described the team’s advocacy as “impressive”, “highly persuasive” and “well beyond their years”.

This achievement comes after two months of dedicated preparation. The students committed countless hours to building their cases, refining their delivery and learning the complexities of criminal law. Their willingness to give up personal time—including an entire Saturday for the competition—reflects their determination and passion for the project.

The team will now progress to the National Final in March, where they will compete against the top schools from across the UK. We are incredibly proud of their success as part of our Sixth Form Personal Development Programme so far and look forward to updating you on their progress as they take on the next stage of this exciting journey.
