World Book Day 2025
On Thursday 6th March we celebrated World Book Day, students reminded of the privilege that it is for us to have the freedom to choose and enjoy the books we wish to read and, again, physically sharing books with others.
Every subject gave some focus to reading for pleasure in their lessons, linking learning to an engaging book, author or genre. Organised by Ms Christie, Years 7 and 8 enjoyed a staggered story whereby an extract from one story was read in each lesson of the day across the curriculum. Students very much enjoyed listening to the next instalment in each lesson. Mr Robinson, SENCo and PE teacher, reported great excitement when it came to his turn to read an extract from the story to two combined PE classes.
