Raising Awareness for Mental Health: Assemblies Highlight Support Services for Students

In recognition of World Mental Health Day, which falls on October 10th, students across Years 7 to 10 at Highams Park School participated in a series of special assemblies designed to promote mental health awareness. This week, the school welcomed external colleagues from the Mental Health Support Team (MHST), who delivered informative sessions focusing on the importance of mental well-being and available support systems.

The assemblies served as a vital platform to open up conversations about mental health, a topic that affects young people more than ever. With increasing academic pressures, social challenges, and the lingering impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, raising awareness about mental health is essential to ensure students have access to the support they need.
