Inspiring the Future: Beatrix Gustin (Year 8) Champions Girls' Empowerment on BBC London Radio
On Thursday morning Beatrix Gustin (year 8) joined the CEO of Festival of The Girl for an interview on BBC London Radio to talk about the importance of inspiring and engaging Generation A.
Festival of The Girl believes in a world where gender stereotypes no longer limit kids' potential. With accessible global festivals and campaigns it was created to empower young girls to break down stereotypes with confidence,
while equipping parents and carers with the tools to guide them.
Beatrix has taken part in the festival both as a festivalgoer, contributor and this year she is a volunteer. When asked how Beatrix would like girls to feel who are coming for the first time she said, 'I'm hoping to make them feel really secure because the festival should be a safe space for everyone and to make them feel like they can do something about the future."
Learn more about the festival here https://www.festivalofthegirl.com/ and if you have a young girl (aged 7-11) and are free this Sunday there are still tickets available for their festival in Islington.
