Celebrating Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, always falls between late January and mid-February. This year, Chinese New Year fell on Wednesday 29th January 2025.

Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is one of the most important and widely celebrated festivals in Chinese culture. It marks the beginning of the lunar new year and is a time for family reunions, feasting, and honouring traditions. This vibrant and colourful festival is steeped in history and symbolism, with various customs and rituals that have been passed down through generations.
